The Victory Belmor static caravan has been designed with practicality in mind.
From the outside the Belmor features aluminium coated wall panels in light cream, but Canexel cladding in a variety of colours are available as an optional extra. And both windows and guttering can be changed to compliment the cladding. In our review model, they were in uPVC white, and the windows were double-glazed.
The main access door is offset on one side, however at the front end are a set of patio style doors to the right with a small ‘bay’ window to the left. There’s an outside light in a good position by the access door to help you find the keyhole at night.
Entering the Victory Belmor through the side access door, it’s a usual layout of lounge to the left, kitchen straight ahead and the access door to the bedrooms and bathrooms to your right. The Belmor gives the impression of a large, open-plan space, accentuated by the high-pitched ceiling, light colour palette and bright, understated soft furnishings.
Floor coverings are well done; a rugged doormat to wipe your feel takes you onto the light grey fully fitted carpet of the lounge which then segues seamlessly into the vinyl tiled-effect kitchen and dining room flooring.
The Victory Belmor lounge has a chunky, grey, wrap-around sofa with bags of room to comfortably seat up to six. We couldn’t see a pullout sofa bed in this, but there’s more than enough floor space for a put up folding bed for those extra visitors, so no big deal. You also get a coffee table and opposite the sofa is a fireplace with a flame effect electric fire and a shelf above for a flat panel television (TV points supplied). A couple of storage shelves and a cabinet with a smoked glass door complete this unit.
Speaking of the fire, it’s worth mentioning that full central heating with a combi gas boiler is available as an optional extra on the Belmor range and would probably be well worth the investment if you were considering using the caravan throughout the year.
The kitchen is ‘L’ shaped with an array of floor and wall mounted cabinets in light Oak with a contrasting slate grey worktop. There’s a basic but effective stainless steel sink with mixer tap and a four burner cooker with oven and grill, which has a black glass splash back and vented cooker hood with light above. On our review model there was even an integrated microwave oven.
The master bedroom is across the back of the Belmor caravan, with a double bed offset to the right to make room for the en-suite. The bed has a padded headboard with a large open shelf above, bookended by two cupboards, with twin reading lights mounted below. The side tables have a storage shelf and the power sockets above incorporate USB chargers and switches for the lighting.
At the foot of the bed in the corner is a vanity shelf with mirror above and another power socket while in the opposite corner, an angled door leads to a small en-suite with toilet and pedestal hand basin. The room also has a splendid combination of wardrobes and storage drawers – certainly enough space to fit in all of your holiday clothes.
